Hello, I’m Emily Nurse and I’m delighted to be here as a certified Baby Sleep the Night consultant to work with you to help solve your child’s sleep issues, gently and quickly! So, let me tell you why I’m so enthusiastic about getting your child on the right track with sleep.
I have two sons who now sleep brilliantly, but I remember all too clearly the first two years of sleepless nights, when I tried so many different things to get our eldest son to sleep, none of which worked and just made us all the more frazzled. I also remember falling into despair when my second son began the same pattern of sleepless nights at six months old. It was then I found Baby Sleep the Night, followed the plan to the letter, and Bingo! My little son slept through on the third night and regular naps followed. My life, and the life of my family, was transformed. Our days were filled with fun, love and laughter rather than exhaustion and dread of the night ahead. So for me, this is personal.
For all my adult life I’ve worked to explore and investigate people’s behaviour. First as a research social scientist, then for 15 years, using these skills to successfully help people make difficult behavioural changes in their lives as a Specialist Health Promotion Outreach worker for the NHS.
I love channelling these skills into Sleep Consultancy. I bring my research skills and academic rigour to analyse what the issues are for your child, and create the best possible solution for them, and for you. I always advocate using the gentlest methods that will be effective for your child and incorporate your parenting style and choices into your child’s plan. I work in a nurturing, client-centred and solution-focused way and see the benefits of this approach time after time. I explain the reasons behind every aspect of your bespoke sleep plan and I am with you every step of the way, answering all your questions, supporting you through the tough times and celebrating your many successes.
